Here's the original puzzle picture again, so you don't have to back up to the last post to see if you can find what's hidden in it.
If you click on the image, it will enlarge and you can poke around the bigger version for a closer look.
Fairly close to the middle, sitting on a little branch next to a clump of grass is this tiny little creature.
It's about the size of a quarter, as you can see by the size of the grass blades behind it. I'm not sure why I even saw it, but something about seeing the that roundish shape on the long stick in my peripheral vision snagged my attention and made me look again. Isn't it a cutie? Piper wasn't sure what the big deal was, but she waited patiently while I knelt down on the trail and took some photos.

That is indeed a tiny turtle! What a cutie! I envy your eyesight. :^)

Finding him once, knowing that he was there, didn't make finding him again easy.
Thank you 🐢 🤎

I really don't know why it snagged my attention, but I'm glad it did. I guess my brain just registered something not right about the pattern of sticks. Brains are amazing things.
Hugs right back!
I know, Sheila. It was a tiny little critter. :)
First of all, great eyesight! and great photo. Question; is the enlargement taken from the the other pic. Or is that a separate photo? Anyway, love it. DZ
Thank you! I took a separate picture, zoomed in, for the little turtle's portrait. Just blowing up that section of the larger picture would have been pixelated and not of the quality I thought the cutie deserved. Sometimes I do just crop the section I want to highlight, but this time I knew it wouldn't do its subject justice. :)
