In Memoriam

It is with heavy hearts that we bid the sweet, lucky chicken farewell and post the final chicken update.  She died on Monday morning with a quick flap of the wings to carry her onward.  We will miss her antics and indomitable spirit.

I don't know if any other chicken ever had such a tribute. Thank you for the chronicles of this sweet one.

My heart goes out to you and your family, Webfoot. She was really fortunate to have you all for a family! How long to Rhode Island Red Chickens usually live?

Dianna,

Chickens in general live 3-5 years but can live longer with love and care. I think this chicken had both, though who knows how old she was before she became part of Webfoot's family.
